The project area was historically located between the "campagna laziale", now overrun by the suburbs and the metropolitan district, "ager Romanus" of ancient Rome. The competition provided an opportunity to act on one of the still existing areas of "disabitato", so the intention was not to alter the original condition. The proposal concentrates arount the remains of two Roman villas the other functions (museums, botanical, cultural, etc.), creating a unique space that emphasizes the local character.
